Tricolour Fruit Salad ( Fruit Salad with Banana, Kiwi, Mango and Vanilla Ice cream)

Today August 15, India is celebrating its 71th year of Independence. Being an Indian I take pride and commemorate this occasion with a tricolored fruit salad as a symbol or memory of three varnna pathaka/ tricolor Indian Flag such as saffron( Courage and Sacrifice), white (Purity and Truth), green (growth and auspiciousness). Yeah! Indian flag means a lot for true Indians. It is a symbol of unity to lead us on one common way of Dharma (cosmic law and order). I know! This dessert is not very similar or exact colour of Indian flag but it helps enough to share its value and importance to my children 🙂
It is very easy and yummy dessert with vanilla ice cream and some fresh fruits like banana, Kiwi and mango. My family all time favourite and I am always do this kind of ‘Udayippu’ (fraudulent) 😉 to please and feed my kids some fresh fruits which they dislike 😀 Hope you also love this idea 🙂 Give a try and enjoy!
Wishing all Indians a Happy Independence Day, Let’s celebrate with pride and glory!
