Pachamoru / Sambharam (Spiced Buttermilk )

Pachamoru / Sambharam (Spiced Buttermilk ) is a healthy and tasty traditional drink in South India. It is a good homemade thirst quenching drink during the summer and hot sunny days. Pachamoru/ sambharam (Spiced Buttermilk) is great hydrating, nutritional and refreshing drink for your body and mind.At the same time it is a simple and tasty side dish with boiled rice too. My favourite combination with Pachamoru is Thenga chamandhi, Kaduku Manga Pickle, Aviyal, Meen Manga Peera Pattichathu etc…hmmm…really mouthwatering combinations 🙂 It is a indispensable dish of Onam/Vishu Sadya, Kerala feasts. During the sadya time, it is served at the end of the meal in order to help with the digestion of the heavy meal.It has lots of health and medical benefits but I am too lazy today to list them here ;-( :-).
