I do prepare non veg sandwiches for my family regularly but I have not posted any such recipes in my blog till today. I thought it is an easy recipe to prepare on a short notice so I hesitated to write such a post 🙂 Recently I got many request from my readers to post easy fish or meat sandwiches with veggies. I thought this yummy and healthy veg packed tuna salad sandwich is the best response 😀 Yeah! It is very healthy yet simple recipe.
Tuna is a healthy choice for a fish; it has lots of nutritious fats and omega 3 acids. Back home, in India we used to eat tuna in curry or fried forms. Here my kids are very picky eaters for that particular spicy taste but they love to consume tuna or salmon this kind of sandwiches or salad forms. They love its melted fishy and cheesy taste with crunchy veggies so I choose this healthy tuna or salmon fish recipe for their lunch boxes atleast once in a month. Trust me! Ingredients For Tuna Fish Salad Sandwich / Healthy Sandwich with Tuna Fish, Vegetables and Cheese/Tuna Cheese Sandwiches/ Mayo Free Tuna Sandwich

Ingredient Quantity Notes
Canned Tuna (Chunk tuna in water) 100g Drained and Shredded
Onion 1 small Chopped Finely
Red/Purple Cabbage (Red kraut) 100g Chopped Finely
Tomato 1 small Chopped Finely
Ground Pepper Powder ¾ Teaspoon Adjust
Lime Juice 1 Tablespoon
Whole meal/ white bread 8 Slices
Sliced or Grated Cheese 4 slices or ½ Cup

• In a mixing bowl, place drained tuna and shred them with the help of a fork.
• Add finely chopped onions
• Chopped purple cabbage.
• Chopped ripe tomato
• ¾ teaspoon ground pepper
• And one tablespoon lime juice.
• Combine gently and mix. Our yummy and healthy veg packed tuna salad is ready!
• For sandwiches, toast bread slices both sides.
• Spread tuna veg salad on a slice of bread.
• Cover it with a slice of cheese or grated cheese.
• Place the other slice of bread.
• Toast/grill until cheese melt.
• Serve hot and enjoy 🙂
